Congruence and communication
There is a lot more to becoming a calm and effective communicator than learning to present effectively, ask a few questions and paraphrase what we believe we have heard. Communication is a sophisticated process which, when it is refined and honed as a superior craft, underpins all satisfying relationships – the boardroom or the bedroom.
When one becomes a calm communicator, there is a fluidity of behaviour, approach and perceived presence across time and situation. Even when the person is tired or exasperated, there is a quality of autonomy, responsibility, congruence, honesty and open-mindedness that engenders trust and appreciation in all who come into contact with that person. It might be called personal magnetism. In following blogs I will go deeper into understanding what it takes to be a calm communicator, together with examples on how to acquire this status.
